Apple + Google | Colorado Exposure Notifications

KEY INSIGHT: Exposure notifications can help prevent the spreading of communicable diseases like COVID-19. Apple and Google want to help.

ROLE: Creative Direction, Art Direction

We in advertising like to joke that “we aren’t saving lives” here – but in this case we were. The Colorado Exposure Notifications app, developed in partnership with Apple and Google, was launched to alert Coloradans if they’d been exposed to COVID-19. To get the message out, our team developed an awareness campaign that exceeded KPIs by miles.

Specifically, we surpassed 10% of our overarching adoption goal within 3 days of launch. The last current numbers I saw included 1,407,103 users, 24.4% of Colorado’s population, and 30.2% of Colorado smartphone users.

We also received coverage in the New York Tiimes, TIME Magazine, The Washington Post, CNN Headline News, NBC Nightly News, and the Chicago Tribune.

And we did it all for a whopping $0.75 cost-per-user spend from the client. Impressive.
